Stained glass is an art form that magically combines glass with light. The copper foil technique, also known as the Tiffany Method, allows you to create more intricate designs than are possible with the traditional lead method. This introductory class provides a foundation for you to start expressing your creativity through this unique medium. We will cover designing projects for glass, the art of glass cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, finishing, and presentation. Students will select from 3 designs provided to create a copper foil panel. It is important that you attend all four sessions as each session builds on the previous session. All supplies included.
Once you complete your Introduction to Copper Foil class, consider furthering your skills by joining our intermediate workshops. Students need to have their own tools and materials. Beginner tool kits are available to students at a discounted rate.
